Here at Freedom, we desire to make you feel as comfortable as possible when sharing a worship service with us. When you step through the doors, our goal is for you to discover a relaxed atmosphere, enjoy contemporary music, meet new friends, be challenged with relevant, biblical messages, and experience God’s life-changing presence.

In the Bible, the Gospel of John states that “those who worship God must worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). This means that we must worship God from the heart, without any false pretenses or hidden motives. There are, however, many different methods listed in the Bible regarding how people can worship. Since we at Freedom Christian Center believe in biblical worship.

Leadership
Pastor Shannon was born in Albany, Georgia. He was raised in Atlanta.
Since being saved in 1997 Pastor Shannon has ministered the word of God, both diligently and faithfully, to individuals from all walks of life. He has served as Youth Minister and Outreach Minister for Growing in Grace and Higher Ground COGIC for over 10 years. He has been ordained by God and was legally ordained Riverdale, Georgia in 2007. He is the author of the audio book, Passion + Action = Success.

Lady Shannon is a vital partner in this ministry. A Christian woman of virtue, poise, and grace, 1st Lady is known for her endless love and wisdom, which she pours unreservedly into the women of Freedom. She has a passion to help hurting women reach spiritual and emotional wholeness. One of her primary goals is to help women discover their God-given purpose. Both in word and deed, she encourages women to be naturally and spiritually healthy.
Freedom Christian Center was then founded and launched on September 16, 2007. It was this love, experience and authority from God that led Pastor Shannon to ultimately start the ministry. Freedom Christian Center is now under the covering of Bishop C.L. Carter and Elder Deborah Carter of First Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. His mission is simply to transform the lives of many through relevant and powerful teaching, writing and speaking. Under his leadership, this ministry continues to grow.
